Dr Stav Mihaletos, D.C. (Doctor of Chiropractic), is the owner and primary chiropractor at Belper Chiropractic Centre. He has lived and practised chiropractic in Belper, Derbyshire, since 2012.
He was born in Pretoria, South Africa, and grew up in Mozambique and South Africa. Of Greek descent, he now lives permanently in Derbyshire, UK. Dr Stav Mihaletos, D.C. (Doctor of Chiropractic), has spent his life studying and refining a broad range of health modalities, which he incorporates into his ‘toolbox’ of chiropractic treatments.
His early years were spent learning Asian combat systems and their exercise regimen called Qi Gong (Chi Gung), which strengthens and heals the body, helping refine mental, emotional, and physical coordination and health.

Dr Stav is primarily interested in providing pain relief to his clients, as most people tend to consult him chiefly to obtain respite from pain. “It is easy to treat the pain and improve function, as in most cases, pain is a symptom of a deeper issue, but just how healthy and strong do people wish to be?” His deeper interest lies in health and longevity. “The health limit is what the individual will do for themselves to maintain and improve their own health”, says Dr Stav (Doctor of Chiropractic).
Dr Stav Mihaletos, D.C. (Doctor of Chiropractic), also has a keen interest in meditation, Ashtanga Yoga (a branch of Hatha Yoga) and HIIT kettlebell exercises. Over the years, he has kept himself updated with research pertaining to Functional Medicine, Lifestyle and Integrated Health practices. He has completed the AFMCP (Applying Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice) course, Functional Medicine hormone and bioenergetics modules, through the Institute for Functional Medicine; Applied Kinesiology, Afferent Input Technique, Acupuncture, and various other muscle, bone and joint healing modalities and techniques.
Currently, Dr Stav has developed his Qi Gong practice into a practical rehabilitation and exercise regimen for patients and lay people alike. He has 40 years of experience in his Qi Gong practice, and he has completed modules in DNS (Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilisation), one of the first rehabilitation protocols and methods in Europe, which originated in Prague, Czech Republic, after WW1.
He teaches Qi Gong in Belper, Derbyshire. Dr Stav (Doctor of Chiropractic) believes that lifestyle, nutrition, exercise, sleep and stress management patterns are responsible for most of our modern-day health conditions, and even, in some cases, musculoskeletal pain. These may be reversed in some cases by making very simple changes.
